Existing LNG shipboard plates are generally processed by two-way sawing with multiple sawing equipment, which has high sawing costs, resulting in the loading and unloading time, re-calibration time and accuracy of the formed plates failing to meet the requirements.

In order to solve the above problems, the ANTISHICNC team invented a vertical band saw for sawing LNG ship plates. The LNG ship plates to be sawed are placed on a sawing device to complete bidirectional sawing, reducing the cost of manual loading and unloading, and the sawing accuracy fully meets the design requirements.

Sawing machine structure

The overall structure includes a horizontal workbench, a vertical band saw, a vertical workbench, and a feeding roller frame. The horizontal workbench is equipped with a device for driving the vertical band saw to move horizontally, and the vertical workbench is equipped with a device for driving the feeding roller frame to move vertically. The plates to be cut are placed on the feeding roller frame.

Driving devices of each part: The horizontal worktable driving device is composed of a horizontal worktable servo motor, a horizontal ball screw pair, and a horizontal guide slider pair; the vertical worktable driving device is composed of a vertical worktable servo motor, a vertical ball screw pair, and a vertical guide slider pair; the roller driving device includes a feed rack servo motor and a chain.

Saw blade guide device: The saw frame of the vertical band saw machine is equipped with upper and lower saw blade rotation guide devices, which can twist the band saw blade between 0° – 180°. The two have the same structure, both containing a guide head rotation servo, a rotating small gear, a rotating large gear, a saw blade guide clamping mechanism, and a guide head support.

Working process:

Start the electrical system, place the plate on the feeding roller rack, the feeding rack servo motor feeds the plate and feeds back the speed, the longitudinal table servo motor moves at the matching speed, and the transverse table drives the vertical band saw to cut horizontally. After the sawing is completed, the upper and lower saw band rotating guide devices twist the band saw blade 180°, the longitudinal table moves in the opposite direction, and the transverse table drives the saw to cut in the opposite direction, and the operation is cyclic. The sawing machine also has a hydraulic tensioning device for the saw blade and a broken belt protection device to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel.

Technical advantages:

Compared with the existing technology, this sawing machine can complete bidirectional sawing on a single device, reducing the cost of manual loading and unloading, and has high sawing accuracy; the layout is simple and occupies little space; it can reciprocate the workpiece to reduce the time for re-calibration and ensure uniform workpiece accuracy.

In order to solve the above problems, the ANTISHICNC team invented a vertical band saw for sawing LNG ship plates. The LNG ship plates to be sawed are placed on a sawing device to complete bidirectional sawing, reducing the cost of manual loading and unloading, and the sawing accuracy fully meets the design requirements.

Sawing machine structure
