Vertical Band Saw Cutting Graphite
The application of band saw machines is very common, in addition to cutting carbon structural steel, low alloy steel, high alloy, special alloy steel and stainless steel, acid-resistant steel and other types of alloys and metal materials, but can also be cut into graphite.
Recently, the Shanghai Ant team received inquiries from synthetic graphite manufacturers. The customer needs to cut the size of 300mmx630mmx1200mm graphite into 50mmx630mmx400mm, and the maximum weight is 500kg. The customer is very interested in the vertical band saw, so according to the customer’s needs, we recommend the customer to send the vertical band saw G5140 to the customer.
The G5140 has a maximum cutting height of 400mm, a throat of 500mm, and a table size of 1160*1300mm. Therefore, it is only necessary to cut the graphite length of 1200mm to 400mm first, and then ingest the height of 400mm to 300mm to 50mm, and then realize that the graphite of 300mmx630mmx1200mm is cut into 50mmx630mmx400mm.
The tension method of the G5140 is hydraulic, and the table will move automatically, which will save a lot of time and labor, and improve work efficiency. Since dust is produced when cutting graphite, we recommend that customers change the shutter of the saw machine to a closed one, which is an air-cooled cooling method, rather than using a chip conveyor, which makes no sense for the dust produced when cutting graphite. The proposal has been approved by the customer.
